I experimented with a new cake icing recipe today! It was so good. We were out of just about everything, and our dinner HAD to have a dessert! We had ham, cabbage, corn, sweet potatos and rice. It was delish! So, it needed a dessert. I had a chocolate cake mix, but no frosting. No sugar. No butter. No Crisco. I did have powdered sugar, I did have peanut butter--- hmmm... google to the rescue! I found a yummy peanut butter frosting recipe that only called for vanilla, peanut butter, powdered sugar, and milk. To my surprise, it turned out wonderful! The icing was peanut buttery-- but yet with a caramel consistency! It spread on smooth. I took a picture of our cake (excuse the few pieces that are missing LOL).
